PPF in Sacramento worth it or just overhyped? Sharing what I found after comparing options

Has anyone actually tried paint protection film in Sacramento? I'm trying to figure out if it makes sense for everyday driving or if it's only worth it for newer or more expensive cars. What should I look at first?

I had the same question a few months ago and spent a bit of time comparing local options. What I noticed is that the film type and coverage area matter a lot more than most people think. Full front end protection is one thing and just doing the bumper is another. The price difference can be significant and it also depends on the vehicle size.

One thing I would suggest for anyone checking this out is to look at whether the installer works with certified film brands and what kind of warranty they back the work with. I came across ppf installation service that listed a 12-year warranty and self-healing film properties which gave me a better sense of what to expect as a baseline.

Also worth checking if they do paint correction before applying anything. On older vehicles that step matters. Overall I would not rush and just compare at least two or three places before deciding.
