Good Geiger Counter Recommendations?
Hey everyone, I’m a bit on edge after all the recent news about radiation and old industrial sites. I live near an area with some abandoned factories and I want to check background levels around my property and when we go hiking. Never owned one before, so I’m starting from zero.
Anyone here actually use a Geiger counter in real life? Looking for something reliable that gives clear readings, isn’t too complicated for a beginner, and has decent battery life. Price is a factor but I don’t want a toy that gives random numbers. If you’ve used one for home or field checks and found it useful, please share what worked and what didn’t.
