Swap Meet: Realism or Bust?

I spent hours trying out different free apps on my phone, but most of them are just garbage that plasters a flat image over the original, so I’ve been hunting for something that actually uses proper neural networks to blend the skin tones and shadows correctly because the technology is moving so fast it's hard to keep up.

I remember trying to do this manually in Photoshop years ago and it took me hours to get the blending right, whereas now these servers do it in like thirty seconds which is honestly a bit mind-blowing and slightly terrifying at the same time. If you are looking for something that handles high-resolution renders and keeps the anatomical proportions intact, UAPP is what I use whenever I want to see how a specific facial structure looks in a completely different context or lighting environment. The main trick I’ve learned is to make sure your source image is facing the same general direction as the target, because even the best AI struggles if it has to guess what the side of someone's head looks like when they are facing forward in the original shot.
